This can be a very useful product. Unfortunately, the tines are short, and shaped inappropriately, which means it cannot pull plugs from the soil. It just pushes the soil around, which is not real core aeration.
This is despite the fact that the description says it can pull 3 inch plugs, and the photos show plugs.

Don't buy it
This item is extremely bulky, heavy and hard to operate with very poor results. After you spend hours and many passes through your yard with this. the result will only be a bunch cars in the dirt of less than 1/2in deep in the dirt. After adding 50 pounds of sand inside (which took an hour by itself) it now weighs about 80-90 pounds making it difficult to move around and it is also a good size wide and tall so it will take up a lot of space in your shed or yard. Overall this was a very disappointing item. I could have just rented a decent aerator for 1/4 of the price of this purchase but I wanted this item so I could use it over again and save money so I thought. And now I can with terrible results Everytime

Mr
Pretty weak wobbly handle on something that should have controllable weight on the end.

I was excited when I purchased….. It under an hour to put together. I aerated my backyard which took about 30 minutes and then moved to my front yard. About 5 feet into my front yard the handle broke completely off at the fork - i’m not sure what to actually made out of, but it looked and felt like pot tin. After a ton of back-and-forth with customer service and several ridiculous offers - offer send a new pot tin handle, an offer to refund $34 of the $115 I paid - so then I could keep the now nonfunctional aerator?- I filed a complaint with my credit card company and soon thereafter they actually offered to refund me the full amount if I mailed it back. So I had the great experience of disassembling the broken aerator prior to mailing it back to them. Describes the exact experience I should’ve expected when buying a product that’s probably three times cheaper than it should be if it were made out of high-quality material. I tried providing pictures in this review, but apparently they are too big so you’ll just have to imagine what it would look like if the handle ripped straight off of the metal fork that allows the aerator to rotate.

Buyer Beware
The handle snapped off at the base the very first use. I had doubts about the build quality and my doubts were valid.
