Assembly was difficult. Whilst the extension poles would easily click together (into each other) none of them would fully click into the first (engine) pole. The inner shaft of the first pole was about 7mm too proud (recessed by about 17mm instead of about 24mm) preventing another pole from being fully engaged. Dismantling the motor end of this pole and reseating the inner shaft fixed the issue. On first attempt the engine was difficult to start. Locking the throttle lever in the fast idle position didn't seem to do anything. By looking through the slots on the engine cover I could see that the throttle lever was not actually moving the lever on the carburettor. Dismantling the handle, I found that the throttle cable was not engaged in the throttle lever. I corrected this and was able to start the engine. Both these problems were on parts that were already assembled before delivery so poor quality control. The saw functions as it should and does the job.
