I was very pleased with the Quick Change Tool Post Set. All of the parts were nicely finished. It was easy to install and only required resizing the bottom bolt plate to fit my compound. The setup is very rigid and the individual tool holders are a one time set and forget. I would recommend this set for anyone with a 10-15” swing.

This item arrived quite quickly and was as described. This item helped solve ongoing issues with tool heights on an AL-340A lathe. The parts look to be well made and I'm quite impressed with its functionality and rigidity.

De bus in de houder geeft de houder veel “bewegingsvrijheid”. Bus heeft een binnendiameter van 16mm, de as van de houder is 14mm. Buitendiameter bus is 22 gat in houder is 22,5. Nieuwe bus gedraaid en nu werkt het beter. Materiaal is mooi afgewerkt en makkelijk af te stellen. Voordat je zoiets aanschaft moet je niet alleen kijken naar de draaidiameter van de bank maar meer naar de ruimte tussen centerhoogte en hoeveel ruimte er over is vanaf de compoundsupport om een bepaalde dikte beitel te kunnen gebruiken. Bij dit type is de onderkant van schuitje 250-101 11mm dik, tel daar een betel van 12mm bij en je zit dan al op minimaal 23mm.

This unit is identical to those available from a number of sources on the 'net, but competitively priced. A machine tool retailer selling it notes that "some machining may be necessary" for it to fit individual lathes, and so it was in my case, for my 12" swing x 36" between centres lathe, which had a stepped mounting column for the device. This required me to counterbore a 3/4" hole 1" deep into the base of the toolpost holder, ensuring that it was exactly concentric. The holder has an excellent cam style grip for the individual toolholders, but could do with a quick release handle for rotating the base, rather than the requirement to use a spanner for the job. I have made a suitable one, and it is an improvement, quickly done. Recommended.

Works well on my old South Bend lathe. I had to modify the bottom of the tool post to be directly compatible, but that was expected for a lathe 70+ years old.

Just opened the packatge. Very nice finish ana durable. The only thing is that the descripiton says "Wedge Typ", but it is actually a "Pin Type" like the photos they are shown. Anyway i havent installed it yet but is seems a very good and durable quolity.
