Birdman Handle Should Be Longer

Nice little bench vise for the price. One problem and this is why I don't give it 5 stars - the handle could be longer. The first time I tried tightening the jaws, the base of my thumb slammed into the vice. If the handle had been longer, that wouldn't happen. Other than that, it's a good vice for light duty work.

A bench vise is an essential part of any handymsn's inventory of tools. We bought an 1890 farm house and immediately began renovations. I use this Vice frequently for precision cutting of thin wall metal tubing, pipes, and woodworking. Bending and shaping metals is manageable. The anvil surface is handy too. The magnetized rubber grips save the finish on all materials. In addition, the angled preformed groves grip dowels and tubing making angular cuts a breeze.
