The young man who this drum was a birthday present for was delighted with it and the fact it contained a booklet to play tunes immediately and was also received well by his parents eager to learn how to play it.

The actual drum seems fine and the mould has wiped off but disappointing all the same.

Beautiful mellow sound. No skills just ears required. This made a great gift and now sits in pride of place on the table. We use it before meals, when we are stressed out, to delight an idle moment or just for fun

Hard to find the right spot to hit the tong to get a good sound quality... We have a friend that has a different brand and their drums plays a lot better and easier than ours.

Sounds beautiful. Very Zen! Not musically talented, but random taps sound great. Good therapy for calming nerves.

Beautiful tone. My grandson is musical, and learned to play thus immediately. It is soft and melodic. Ethereal in sound.

This would make a great gift for any beginner.Tones are actually excellent (surprised me).If out of tune, there are instructions on how to retune it.If you are hunting for a small xylophone or just interested in music....this is a deal.However, one word of advice, shipping is extremely slow. You will have to wait on shopping.
