This rug looked tough. Tough enough to withstand my one year old heeler who’s a chewer. The rug pile is flat so I didn’t think he could get any of the fabric in his teeth. Unfortunately I was wrong. Can’t leave him alone for 5 minutes. He’s picked at it and has managed to make 3 small holes. I would normally just do without area rugs but I have hardwood floors and my 9 year old German Shepherd has arthritis. She needs the area rugs for traction getting up and down. It’s going to stay where it is until it looks awful. I’d say this is a great entry rug for most people however. No smell, slip resistant.
