Great value and quality product. Of all the shepherd's hook poles I looked at, really glad I picked these. 92 inches tall, as described. Buying by the 8-pack, that comes to $8.60 each (after tax). Couldn't be much better. Each one assembles in about a minute. Just add the number of sections for the height you want. The "forks" at the bottom are very easy to get into the ground by just pushing with your shoe, and they create a very sturdy hold that doesn't come undone even when I push on it, so it will clearly stand up to windy weather, pets, or even people bumping into them in the dark. (Might be different if you have really sandy soil, which I don't.) The pole is just the right diameter to be both light and strong, with a good tough finish all over, including on the threads where the sections screw together. The hooks are rated for pretty heavy weight, and that seems to be completely accurate. Pull down hard on a hook and it doesn't bend or budge. I'm not doing heavy, elaborate bird houses but I would not expect a problem even with those. My use: for hanging solar-powered LED lanterns, or string lights across several poles. No question these can handle way more than that. The 92 inch length is perfect for nighttime outdoor lighting -- keeps the lights at a pleasant, lofty height. And: they look great. I expect to have these up for many years in all kinds of weather.
