Customer Reviews for VEVOR Wooden Sandbox, 52.4 x 47.2 x 16.9 in Sand Box, Sand Pit with Foldable Bench Seats and Bottom Liner, Natural Wood Kids Sandbox for Outdoor Backyard, Beach, Park, Gift for Boys Girls Ages 3-12

I bought this primarily because it was easy to put together. We had just struggled with a swingset and I couldn’t take anymore difficult assemblies. It did snap together fairly easily but we never figured out how to attach the cover. No cats in the neighborhood so leaving it open hasn’t been a problem. The sand is more moldable when it’s a little wet anyway. We didn’t use the tarp underneath so it drains. It takes a lot of sand to fill it so I ordered a half a yard from a local supplier and had it brought out and dumped into it. We ended up with a little extra that we used around it. I have 3 grandchildren and this is large enough for all 3 plus me to get in and play.

Instructions are worthless. Material is just okay, rather on the flimsy side. Since it's just serving as a dust bath for my chickens, it'll do, but any kid over 5 lbs will break it. Some of the parts did not fit together well. Definitely not worth $90. Would not recommend

The sand box is very flimsy because the wood screws are too small, and the sand underlay material is just that. I went ahead and used the small screws to assemble it to keep it together, then went back with my drill and added a few pilot holes and screwed brass 1" drywall screws into the framing. Then ended up going to Home Depot bought and used 3/8" plywood as a base. I just laid the plywood on the driveway, placed the sandbox on the plywood, traced with a pencil the shape, cut and attached the base to the frame of the sandbox. The cover is okay however if you have feral cats in the neighborhood, you may want to make a plywood top for it as well. Beware the plywood costs more than the actual sandbox shipped to your front door. This will work for my 2-year-old grandson for now. Does look nice but I would have paid for backing if it were offers, highly recommend the manufacturers to add that as an option. Fabric base won't work well with Tonka type trucks, the plywood is a lot better.

absolute garbage, every panel falls apart if it moves in the slightest. clips that hols it together on the bottom push into place and subsequently just fall off. doesnt hold its shape. Total Garbage
