I modified this to by using the nuts so I can use it on my pick up truck box. My only complaint is the protective paint comes off easy and Ineed to regularly repaint it to prevent rust.

Perfect for my car

Everything looks great. Just one thing. On the pics show perfect fit with a Ford transit extended high roof, but it's to short fot the rear rack with the sliding tube.

I have to give a credit where credit is due, this rack is really great, heavy and heavy duty, thick steel, well made, $168 minus $30 discount and free shipping, wow, shipping weight is 67 lbs, cannot imagine how much fedex charged for it, it had to be $$$. Received it in couple of days.

Easy to assemble and feels strong. However, the clamping plate that pulls the rack down onto the gutter will not work if the gutter is over a door. This is because the angled part that grips the bottom of the drip rail is at 45 degrees and so doesn't clear a close fitting door. This plate needs to be a 90 degree bend to hook right under the rail and pull the upper part down properly. I bent mine in a vice with a big hammer and the fit is now perfect although the paint is ruined!
