I really wanted the Gen 2 with the metal bracket but I received this instead it does the job but not sure how long it will last

thid hose reel is superb. replace my old floor reel. out of the way, super cool

So this thing really works really well love the length of it love the retract of it the compactness of it. But it does not have the power that I like to have at the distance that it extends out. I would go with the bigger diameter hose not the half inch go with maybe the 5/8 you actually get a little bit more power out of it but all in all we use it to fill up water troughs we use it to water the garden. We use it to wash cars we use it pretty much anytime and anywhere we need the water hose and it’s been really Reliable. We went through four different seasons with it. We went summer fall winter and spring now. It has been something that we will use on a regular basis from now on, but I’m looking at probably buying a bigger diameter hose maybe even going up to three-quarter.

I’ve purchased 3 total. 2 at my house. Even bought one for my parents. Get the 5/8” hose if you have decent water pressure. 1/2 inch if unsure. Get the 3 year warranty and it’s no questions asked. Highly recommend
