We were looking for a roll-up awning for our patio and stairs at the cottage and decided to give this VEVOR model a try as the Price was VERY appealing compared to other options. Delivery was pretty fast. Installation was also relatively easy minus a few hiccups as 1 section of the instructions were a little difficult to follow however easy enough to figure out. After several weeks of usage, I can say that though one of the arms does have a tiny sag over the 4 feet reach (even when adjusted as I suspect the machined part might be slightly out of tolerance), it isn't incredibly noticeable and the awning still functions perfectly! The insertion of the rubber line through the fabric loops were a little tough to do as it was sown rather tight but eventually was able to do it. awning is easy to extend and retract, does the job perfectly as needed and rolls away under the soffit and overhang! Very impressed overall! Even with the small installation hiccups, I would recommend this item if you are looking for a "trial" solution on a budget! A+!

We purchased this 12'x10' awning to take the heat off of a large glass patio door. The west-facing kitchen area is already 10° cooler in the afternoon, and we can hang out on our deck, previously too hot. Installation was challenging, special brackets had to be made to mount under eaves on rafters. Used countertop brackets from Amazon($50), with angles welded & 3/8" thick metal drilled ($180 shop fees). 2 rafter ties per bracket for extra support. Very sturdy custom install, since I have a wood frame house without concrete walls. Took about 2 weeks, but worth it. Skill level required: Average homeowner DIYer. 2 peope to lift & bolt onto brackets. Diligently read installation /assembly guide provided, plus download guide from Vevor site. Really. The custom install cost more than the (manually retractable) awning, but the total cost to me was less than other awnings, especially for the excellent quality. It is so easy to extend/retract that the electric one would not be worth it, except for the physically challenged. Note about the stability: the farther out the awning is extended, the more it is affected by wind. I've considered making some support bars that could attach to the "flounce bar" - but right now, if it is breezy I only extend it 1/3 to 1/2 way out where it's much more stable. To be clear, the bouncing effect is in the awning, not the custom brackets. This review also commends the Vevor customer service department for their handling of a missing part issue, that they replaced quickly. Bon produit avec rapport qualité prix très intéressant. Il y a un peu d’assemblage, mais rien d’insurmontable. Pour ma part, je me suis contenté de mettre 2 supports et non pas trois comme préconiser, car j’y étais un peu contraint -> installation sur 2 bracons d’un portique bois. A souligner la possibilité d’orienter la descente jusqu’à 40 degrés, c’est ce qui m’a décidé car je l’ai installé sous le auvent de ma terrasse (donc avec un toit en pente)

Ha quedado genial en mi terraza, las instrucciones bastante detalladas y fácil instalación sin tener experiencia previa en este tipo de montajes. Sin duda volvería a comprar en vevor.

It’s a little hard to figure out the instructions but once you get it the build goes pretty fast. Make sure you get it attached to the studs or the structural supports. The 12x10 moves in the wind and you definitely want it secured. As far as operation, it works flawlessly no issues and is operated daily.

Arrived earlier than expected, pretty easy to put together with 2ppl & it looks good, nice quality & functions perfectly! I Definitely would recommend it to anyone!

Setup was easy. There are times where you will need a second hand to assemble. It's been up for about a month. The only concern is you must remeber to retract it during windy days.
