It has to be assembled. It's foldable and sturdy. Not hard to put together. My old ottoman was wood and the color eventually faded and peeled. This one is not going to fade or peel. It feels good and comfortable to use. The height and width are perfect for me and my porch swing. The price is very reasonable and it's works as it should. .

Perfect for reading under a tree and putting my feet up. Sturdy, easy to ‘fold up’ w/o loosening screws.

Long shipping time. Wrong color delivered. Parts seemed fine but did not assemble. Return was simple only 60 miles round trip.
