I've had an issue with my front door ever since I moved into my house. The roofline merges just above the front door, and when it rains, water collects up against the house, and you have to pass under a waterfall to get into the door. This little awning has changed that completely! It also has the added benefit of shading my front entry which keeps the flies from swarming my front door in the morning. No more waterfall, no more water collecting up against the entry way. I was able to assemble and install this by myself, though another pair of hands would have been nice it isn't necessary. The only adjustment I would make to this would be that the top brace pieces would hit more of an angle so they would snug up against the slanted eave better, but it has only fallen once and that was when the wind picked up suddenly on that side of the house. As long as I roll it up, the wind isn't an issue and it will still direct water away from the house enough. Another added bonus is that I am able to catch the rainwater in a bucket so i can water my flowers with it. I'm already planning on buying again!
