Hand Pump
I was delayed in completing assembly because the hose clamps provided were of very poor quality, and after trying to snug the first one it failed. I purchase good quality clamps and completed assembly, but didn't purchase fuel until today to try it out.
It is a good thing that it has the ball valve shutoff, because the lower hose connection is very rone to leaking at the hose to tank connection. The suction barb that threads to the ball valve is too short to accommodate 2 hose clamps to get a better seal (It would accommodate two of the provided clamps, but the would have failed on tightening). The hose connections at the pump suction and discharge sealed fine.
I was able to slow down the leak, but was unable to stop it. Before next use I will try a paste sealant to see if that will help.
I got the caddy for use with Diesel fuel, it would have been nice if it was available in yellow.

Disappointed
Hand Pump
I usually am pleased with Ave or products but this caddy is a disappointment. I followed the assembly instructions and made sure all connections were very tight. When I started filling with gas, it leaked from the bottom connection. I disassembled and used more tape, checked the rubber gasket then reassembled. Still leaked. Upon closer inspection , the leak was not from the connections I made, but where the brass doohickey was attached to the caddy by the manufacturer. Not sure what to do at this point as it is unusable and will be a major pain in the butt to return due to its size and weight. Very disappointed and inconvenienced.

Leaks around bottom hose
Hand Pump
Would not recommend this product. It leaks around the bottom hose no matter what I do. Leaky gas tanks are not a good things!

junk
Hand Pump
Do not buy! The tank itself seems fine but the rest is typical imported junk, not to mention a fire hazard. The ground clamp broke the first time I squeezed it and the hoses are a bigger diameter then the fittings causing gas to leak at the connections. The clamps cannot tighten enough to seal.

Hand Pump
It leaks from the bottom. It appears to be coming from the seam. Liquids can not be stored in it .

Leaks at bottom connection
Hand Pump
Can’t tighten from inside leaks makes the container inoperable as leaks from the base can’t use it due to leak. When it didn’t leak for 3 months worked fine now is an issue and can’t be used

The very first time I used it, a rubber band snapped—too much weight, poor quality. I had to leave her where she was.
