very sturdy, attractive
Arch Type Step 4 or 5
I would have given 4 stars but when installing on brick (3 hole, not solid) steps the holes you drill will inevitably go into a hole meaning not enough material for the anchol to hold. Even if it goes into the exact middle, the center will then be very thin and likely crack/ break. The anchors are too long to be effective for the 3-hole bricks. I could not find anchors the right length so I had to use lag screws and lag anchors. They are holding well enough so far and probably will if no one or nothing heavy falls against it. If I had thought about it/ realized the bricks, that I could not see, had the holes I could have asked the question about the anchors or at least planned better. Other that that, 5 stars.

Excellent quality
Arch Type Step 1 or 2
Item arrived four days earlier than expected, great service. The quality is excellent. taller than I thought it would be, but I can work around that with ease. Even provided all the tools needed to assemble it.

Appealing appearance
Arch Type Step 3 or 4
This rail was flexible enough during installation to fit and work for the step height differences. I ended up adding anchor bolts - the ones that came in the package left it wobbly, 7/16 drilled hole was too small and 1/2" too large. These must be a metric size.

Arch Type Step 2 or 3

Poor install instructions and problematic hold down bolts
Arch Type Step 1 or 2
The install was very frustrating as I installed on agragrate concrete hitting the occasional re-bar requiring moving slightly. The instructions were not explained clearly, just pictures. The quality of the bolts and the toy wrenches were weak and problematic, I used a metric and imperial set of wrenches and sockets but neither fit the anchor bolts. Had to rely on my adjustable wrench. After the first one was installed I left the job and did some gardening. The next day the second one went together much better, minus the skinned knuckles. They look good and the wife is very pleased..and that's what counts.

Good, but could be improved
Arch Type Step 4 or 5
For the price, no complaint. But some minor tweaks could really improve this item.
Top handrail is quite good - heavy, with tube steel reinforcement, and nice contours. The bend at the upper side of mine was not quite at the full angle, so I will have to cut the welds and bend it a few more degrees unless I want to tolerate the upper handrail being not quite level when installed. Not everyone would be equipped or willing to fix such a thing.
The vertical posts and mounting flanges are adequate, but I’d prefer if they were slightly heavier gauge of steel.
The attachments of the posts to the handrail is by two bolts at the welded bracket locations, but this limits adjustability. I would prefer to bolt the post directly to the square tube welded to the handrail, even if this means that I have to drill that bolt hole myself. It would also look better, in my opinion.
The hardware is okay, but I will probably use heavy galvanized expanding bolts or “cobra” type concrete anchors instead. The wrenches are a nice touch but most DIY’ers would have basic wrenches, ratchets and sockets anyway. Thin rubber gaskets for under the mounting feet would have been nice to have instead. Overall, it is a decent product but may not have enough adjustability for some people - a design tweak could improve that part. I would rather have had heavier posts with a bit more attention to quality control, and provide slightly higher quality hardware or just specify the proper mounting hardware that I can get locally. Skip the wrenches.
If you are comfortable with possibly having to make some modifications, then it is still a good value. At least, good enough for my application. Shipping was fast.
