I love this! I didn't want to invest in the super pricey one for my hobby jewelry making, so I ordered this and so far it's done everything I've needed. I use it to hold pieces to set stones (bezel settings) and it gives me so much more flexility getting the piece where I want it to smooth the bezel around evenly. I've used it with JettSet to hold a pendant where i need it while setting and it's been awesome. I've also used it for some dead lifts (not kidding) as it's super heavy and a nice, compact size, lol.

Compré ambos modelos 127 y 78. La 127mm no la usé mucho. Resulta mucho más estable y más robusta que la 78mm hay mucha diferencia. Es difícil de transportar pero cómoda de usar. La base es de goma y tienes unos patines de plástico duro que quizás se puede cambiar por otros para ajustar al gusto el tacto del giro de la bola en el soporte. La base de goma sobre una mesa de madera puede dejar mancha yo agregue una pequeña alfombra para evitar eso. Los accesorio se ajustan lo suficientemente bien no un excelente calidad con un ajuste muy preciso pero es razonablemente bueno para mi, quizás la pequeña 78mm ajusta un poco mejor pero casi no hay diferencia. Mi conclusión comparando con la otra 78mm es que si tu taller es lo suficientemente grande, no tienes problema de espacio, necesitas algo robusto mas grande y pesado. Este es tu camino a seguir. Hablando del transporte tardó es genial en solo 2 días !! en casa para Galicia España, bien protegido todas las piezas ok igual que la 78mm que también llegó rápido.

Compré ambos modelos 127 y 78. El 78 de momento para pequeñas tallas de madera fue la única que usé. Resulta más cómoda de mover ya que peso 1.5Kg cuando la 127mm peso aproximadamente unos 8Kg. Entonces se puede transportar o mover por la mesa mucha más fácilmente. Para mejorar su soporte simplemente agregue cola en caliente (ver foto) en la ranuras por debajo ya que al ser la base de platico duro es demasiado deslizante como viene de fábrica, llegó con dos bases una blanca y otra negra pero son iguales mismo material o eso me parece. Los accesorio se ajustan lo suficientemente bien no un excelente calidad con un ajuste muy preciso pero es razonablemente bueno para mi. Mi conclusión comparando con la otra 127mm es que si tu taller el pequeño, necesitas espacio, vas a sacar y guardar constantemente es mejor esa pequeña de 78mm. Es la que más uso por el momento. Hablando del transporte tardó es genial en solo 3 días en casa para Galicia España, bien protegido todas las piezas ok.

Works just like it’s supposed to do. Don’t spend anymore than this as it works just as good as the main brands.

Definitely a fabulous item, I also the GRS system. This is better and costs £600 less. Buy this model.

I got the 5"" and works great..have zero issues ...I highly recomend saving the money from buying a name brand version

It is a great tool and a must-have for engraving and stone setting. Solid, smooth, and easy to use—it makes precision work much easier. Highly recommended!

This Ball Vice is a great item for jewellery making. It is quite heavy but it needs to be for effectiveness. The 'extras' make the ball vice a completely useful bench tool.

I have used this a couple of times for engraving. I like the weight and the ability to manipulate its holding stance.

Cheap, not to wobbly, good for beginning ;) But the rubber stand is smelly a bit
