It can share the solar inverter in the solar system as long as the voltage is consistent. There is protection against excessive wind speed, but extreme weather cannot.

Do we need to use wind turbine charge controller with this one in order to connect to batteries?

The controller is already built in, so there is no need to add a separate controller. The brown wire from the wind turbine output is connected directly to the positive battery terminal and the blue wire to the negative battery terminal.
