Is there room for bulky material like a sweatshirt where you are not printing on that part of the sweatshirt? I hope my quesiotn makes sense.

Do you mean the arm or the hoodie? If you are printing on the sleeve you have to lay the sleeve flat as well as the hoodie part. It brought this for my son and he does all three on this machine. I hope this answers your question.

Does this need to be bolted to a table? Or is it heavy enough to not need to be bolted down? Thanks.

It’s heavy enough (and also designed) to NOT need to be bolted down. You just need a sturdy, flat surface to set it on.
