What parts are alumium ? Are all 4 main parts of the railing alumium or just the top portion you grab?

I believe that all pieces are aluminum. It appears sturdy. We've had ours for two years and it still looks beautiful. I did use rust-proof black paint on the heads of the bolts and screws, just in case.

if the posts are required to be shortened, how is the top bracket held into the post for removal and replacement? OR can the screw holes in rail be relocated to suit moving each leg apart?
