Hello, this welding blanket is made of fiberglass and is not waterproof. It is recommended to use it in a dry environment. If water splashes, it is recommended to clean up the water stains in time.

Can this fabric be cut to make it smaller

It is not recommended that you cut it, as the edges after cutting will become loose and the fiberglass yarn may fall off.

Sorry, we have not measured the specific acoustic value, because it is not a sound-absorbing material itself and is not used for sound-absorbing purposes. In theory, it does not have acoustic practicality. It is just a product used as an isolation product for welding blankets.

Could you recommend any blanket that would help either smother a potential lithium battery fire or guard (,by placing battery in it when in use please state which) it's for use in camping it's not big enough watt to use on a kettle / but I use it for iPad etc it's more a precaution if it went bad thanks ..by the way is a shame but I'm very much on the financially challenged scale so cheaper ones thanks

The combustion temperature of ternary lithium batteries is around 200 degrees Celsius, and the combustion temperature of lithium phosphate batteries is between 500-800 degrees Celsius. We do not recommend you use our blanket to extinguish battery burning flames. If you must do this, if it is a ternary lithium battery, it will have a certain fire protection effect, but if it is a lithium phosphate battery, it may burn through the blanket.
