this alone would not be heavy enough if it were windy. it would need a lot more weight added to it. if it is not a windy day or area it should be ok outside.

Will the travel case fit in a large suitcase for flying?

Hi. It's about 42 inches long and 7 inches wide. It has some weight to it from the base feet so you are aware. Just had it out! It would work probably best in a duffle and some towels around it
