They are tough but could be cut with a saw.

I want to install something like this across our back alley. Garbage collection trucks drive through though... Will they be able to stand up to that?

I believe it would. It’s very thick rubber. We have a garbage truck drive over ours once a month and there have been no issues.

No sure how thick the charging cable is but my thick hose fits well with a little wiggle room.
