I'd always used plastic cutting boards, and then threw'm out after a few months due to extensive surface cuts and stains. And THEN, I'd by more plastic cutting boards! Turns out Bamboo is the best surface/material for cutting boards. I'm giving 5 stars because these boards are very inexpensive, and really heavy! so I assume they'll also be heavy duty! - I'll adjust this review IF that's not the case. FYI: Bamboo should be \"seasoned\" with mineral oil before use...that's FOOD GRADE mineral oil, baby oil is NOT a good choice!
